Abstract

Abstract The adhesion of self-bonding curable silicones to substrates is enhanced by including in the silicone composition, before curing, a small amount of an adhesion promoting composition comprising predominantly one or more compounds of the formulae: ##STR1## wherein G is H or ##STR2## wherein R is alkylene-arylene, alkylene or cycloalkylene, R 1 and R 3 are hydrocarbyl or halohydrocarbyl, R 2 is the same as R 1 and R 3 and, in addition, cyanohydrocarbyl, and a is 0 to 3.
