A process for inhibiting platelet aggregation in vitro comprising the addition of an effective amount for inhibiting platelet aggregation of a compound of the formula: ##SPC2## wherein Y is lower alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cyclopropyl, ethinyl, --CF 3 , --F, --Cl, --OCH 3 , --OCH 2 OCH 3 , --SCH 3 , --SCHF 2 , --SCH 2 OCH 3 , acetyl; R 1 and R 2 are H, CH 3 , CHF 2 , or taken together are =CH 2 or =CF 2 ; and X is hydrogen, or a pharmacologically acceptable cation, to whole blood or platelet-rich concentrates.
