Abstract
Abstract A solution for treating metal surfaces is provided which is capable of cleaning (degreasing) and hydrophilically sensitizing the metal surface. The treatment solution is a synergistic improvement over conventional silicate treating solutions obtained by the addition of the ferric chelate of ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (Fe + 3 EDTA).
