Abstract

Abstract A dentifrice composition and method for desensitizing teeth is disclosed. The dentifrice composition is an aqueous gel comprising citric acid, sodium citrate, a non-ionic surfactant which is the condensation product of a normally-solid, water-soluble, high molecular weight condensation product of ethylene oxide and polypropylene glycol and containing about 70% polyoxyethylene, and water. The dentifrice composition can be topically applied to sensitive teeth to desensitize them.
