The granulated fertilizer composition as defined by claim 1, wherein said amount of K 4 P 2 O 7 is between about 1 and 10% by weight.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 35 words
The granulated fertilizer composition as defined by claim 1, further comprising at least one additional plant nutritive agent selected from the group consisting of potassium salts, magnesium salts, nitrogen compounds, boron compounds and mixtures thereof.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 41 words
The granulated fertilizer composition as defined by claim 1, further comprising an amount of a fertilizer adjuvant selected from the group consisting of sulfite waste liquor, starch, molasses, sugar, water glass, gypsum, clay, natural or synthetic water-soluble polymers and mixtures thereof.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 19 words
The granulated fertilizer composition as defined by claim 1, having a particle size between about 0.5 and 3.0 mm.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 53 words
A process for the preparation of the granulated fertilizer composition defined by claim 1 comprising the steps of mixing together ground alkali-containing calcined phosphate and between about 0.5 and 15% by weight of tetrapotassium pyrophosphate K 4 P 2 O 7 , granulating the resulting mixture with water and drying the resulting granules.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
The process as defined by claim 6, wherein at least about 85% of said ground calcined phosphate has a particle size smaller than 0.15 mm.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 29 words
The process as defined by claim 6, wherein between about 1 and 10% by weight of said K 4 P 2 O 7 is mixed with said calcined phosphate.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 19 words
The process as defined by claim 6, wherein said mixture is granulated with between about 7 and 15% water.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 34 words
The process as defined by claim 6, wherein said calcined phosphate contains an additional plant nutritive agent selected from the group consisting of potassium salts, magnesium salts, nitrogen compounds, boron compounds and mixtures thereof.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 45 words
The process as defined by claim 6, further comprising adding to said mixture a minor amount of a fertilizer granulating adjuvant selected from the group consisting of sulfite waste liquor, sugar, starch, molasses, water glass, gypsum, clay, natural or synthetic water-soluble polymers and mixtures thereof.
