Abstract
Abstract The cross-linked macromolecular polyethers containing ionic bonds are obtained by reacting polyhydric phenols which contain amino groups (Mannich bases) with compounds which contain simultaneously epoxide groups and halogen atoms. An addition and a quaternization reaction occur. Optionally, it is possible to add simple organic halides to the reaction mixture. The adducts manufactured in this way have a reduced tendency to acquire a static charge and can be used with advantage in the textile and paper sectors.
