Abstract
Abstract A process is disclosed for sequestering metal ions by treating said ions with a compound of the formula: OOH PARALLEL RNHCH2P ANGLE R'' wherein R' is selected from the group consisting of <->OH, alkyloxy and aryloxy; and R is selected from the group consisting of OR'OO PARALLEL PARALLEL PARALLEL ZC<->, ZSO2<-> and ANGLE PCH2NHC<-> R' wherein Z is <->OH, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy and aryloxy.
