Abstract
Abstract A composite article and method for making the same where the exterior surface of glass particles are coated with a metal. The metal coated glass particles are reduced to smaller, particular form and glass fibers are added to the reduced metal coated glass particles. The particles and glass fibers are formed under pressure to a given shape and the resulting shape is sintered to form a permanently-shaped article.
