Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
82 words
A process which comprises subjecting compositions containing polymers of isobutylene and copolymers thereof with isoprene, the isoprene content of the copolymers being from 0.6 to 3 mole percent, the average molecular weight of the polymers and copolymers being from 225,000 to 6,000,000 together with from about 1 to 10 percent by weight based on the total weight of polymer or copolymer of a halogenated hydrocarbon radiation catalyst to high energy ionizing radiation at a total dose of from 0.5 to 15 megarads.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
16 words
A process as in claim 1 wherein the radiation dose is from 2 to 10 megarads.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
19 words
A process as in claim 1 wherein the catalyst content of the composition is from 2 to 7 percent.
