Abstract
Abstract A self-aligning bearing comprising an outer member and an inner member disposed in and supported by the outer member, the outer member having a concave inner surface in bearing contact with the convex outer surface of the inner member, an annular groove provided on one of the surfaces, a resilient member filling said annular groove, the resilient member being in a substantially compressed state to exert a preloading braking force on the inner and outer members.
