Abstract
Abstract Novel salts of α-substituted-β-sulfosuccinic acids having the general formula: ##EQU1## wherein R is hydrogen or an organic moiety, Z is selected from the group consisting of O, S, SO, SO 2 , N and NO and M is an alkali metal, ammonium or substituted ammonium cations, useful as detergents and/or detergent builders and detergent compositions containing same.
