Abstract
Abstract The oxidative properties of lubricants, especially lubricating oils and greases, are improved by adding thereto an oxidation inhibiting amount of a diarylamine ortho-carboxamide.

The composition of claim 1 wherein said N-1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl-2-(1-naphthylamino) benzamide is present in said lubricant in an amount of from about 0.005 to about 15% by weight.
