Abstract

Abstract Polyquaternary amines, for example those formed by reacting mono- or polyamines with a polyfunctional compound, for example difunctional compounds such as organohalides, epihalohydrins, etc., which are capable of both quaternizing and extending the molecular weight of the amine; and to uses for these polyquaternaries, particularly as corrosion inhibitors for highly acid systems.
