A process for stabilizing copper phthalocyanine pigments which comprises admixing a copper phthalocyanine pigment with 1 to 20% of a compound of the formula: Pc ---- (X - A).sub.n wherein Pc represents the unmetallized or metallized phthalocyanine moiety, X represents oxygen, sulfur or --NH--, A represents straight or branched chain alkyl having 4 to 20 carbons, unsubstituted aryl or aryl substituted by halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl or alkoxy, and n is a number from 1 to 8.
