Claim 1
Independent Claim
133 words
A method for producing a recording sheet comprising admixing a phenol resin selected from a novolak type phenol-aldehyde polymer or a phenol-acetylene polymer and an aqueous emulsion of a hydrophobic material to produce a coating composition and coating the resulting coating composition on a support; said hydrophobic material being selected from the group consisting of a vegetable oil, an animal oil, a mineral oil, a synthetic oil or a hydrophobic organic solvent; said hydrophobic material emulsion being used in an amount of between about 0.1 to 10 parts by weight calculated in terms of the amount of the hydrophobic material per 100 parts by weight of the solid content in the phenool resin coating composition; and said phenol resin being capable of being colored when reacted with an electron donating colorless organic compound.
