Abstract Pyridylthio- or dithiophosphoric acid esters of the formula ##EQU1## wherein R 1 represents n-propyl, isobutyl, sec.-butyl or n-pentyl, R 2 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, (C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy)carbonyl, mono(C 1 -C 4 -alkyl)carbamoyl or di(C 1 -C 4 -alkyl)carbamoyl, R 3 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or methyl, and X represents oxygen or sulphur and their use for combating pests are disclosed.
