Abstract A mixture of I. 3,5-DIMETHYL-4-CHLOROPHENOL WITH ONE OF II. BIS-(3,5,6-TRICHLORO-2-HYDROXYPHENYL) METHANE III. 2,4,4'-TRICHLORO-2'-HYDROXYDIPHENYL ETHER IV. 3,4',5-TRIBROMO SALICYLANILIDE OR A MIXTURE OF ANY THREE OF SAID COMPOUNDS EXHIBITS SYNERGISTIC GERMICIDAL ACTIVITY AND CAN BE USED TO PROVIDE SOAPS, DETERGENTS AND COSMETICS WITH GERMICIDAL ACTIVITY.
