Abstract
Abstract This invention relates to a process for making metal-bearing powders from the decomposition of organometallic salts, e.g. the thermal reduction of metal oxalates to metal. It has been discovered that improved properties can be achieved in metal particles so formed by a process whereby the growth of the organometallic salt to be subject, eventually, to thermal decomposition is initiated by use of seeds of a first salt different in chemical composition from another material to be formed thereon as the salt crystal grows.
