Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 118 words
A method for alleviating conditions caused by the abnormal deposition or dissolution of difficulty soluble calcium salts in the body of warm-blooded animals having said conditions which consists in administering orally or parenterally to said warm-blooded animals, from 0.05 to 500 mg.kg. of the animal body weight of a pharmacologically acceptable aminoalkane-diphosphonic acid derivative selected from the group consisting of (A) at least one aminoalkane-diphosphonic acid of the formula: ##EQU5## wherein R 1 and R 2 are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and (B) a pharmacologically acceptable water-soluble salt of (A), said derivative being administered in the form of tablets, pills or capsules, or as injectable solutions.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 27 words
The method of claim 1, wherein said derivative is selected from the group consisting of (A) 3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1-diphosphonic acid and (B) a pharmacologically acceptable water-soluble salt of (A).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 85 words
A pharmaceutical composition for alleviating conditions caused by the abnormal deposition or dissolution of difficultly soluble calcium salts consisting essentially of a effective amount of a pharmacologically acceptable aminoalkane-diphosphonic acid derivative selected from the group consisting of A. an aminoalkane-diphosphonic acid of the formula ##EQU6## wherein R 1 and R 2 are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and B. a pharmacologically acceptable water-soluble salt of (A), and a major amount of pharmacologically acceptable excipients.
