Abstract

Abstract Latex compositions comprising carboxylated styrene-butadiene-vinylidene chloride copolymer latices wherein the latex consists essentially of 15 to 45% styrene, 25 to 50% butadiene, 25 to 40% vinylidene chloride and 0.5 to 10% copolymerizable carboxylic acid and a flame retardant additive exhibit improved flame retardant properties for use in carpet and floor covering applications.
