Abstract

Abstract The present invention relates to a process for the production of unsaturated esters which comprises the step of introducing an olefinic hydrocarbon to a solution containing a palladous salt, a carboxylic acid, carboxylate ions additional to any provided by self-ionisation of the carboxylic acid, a redox system and at most an amount of water allowing said ester formation.
