Abstract
Abstract An ordered copolyamide-urea-type polymer is prepared which is particularly useful for the production of synthetic fibers, films, etc. A representative polymer is that derived from p-phenylene terephthalamide and p-phenyleneurea. The polymer may contain nitrogen-substituted urea groups if the diamine which is reacted with urea is substituted at nitrogen with one or more lower alkyl groups such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, etc.
