Abstract
Abstract There is disclosed an in situ process for the preparation of a composite material consisting essentially of an organic polymer or copolymer having dispersed therein an inorganic oxide or mixture of oxides, said process comprising the simultaneous or sequential synthesis of the organic polymer from at least one non-polymeric organic precursor and of the inorganic oxide or oxide mixture derived from at least one inorganic-oxide precursor.
