Claim 1
Independent Claim 97 words
A process for the liquid phase oxidation of polyhaloolefins having from 2 to 7 carbon atoms to obtain oxidation products having the same number of carbon atoms as the starting material, said process comprising heating the polyhalo-olefin in admixture with oxygen at temperatures of from about 70°C to about 300°C and O 2 pressures of from about 100 to 1200 p.s.i.g. in the absence of an added catalyst, said process being carried out in two stages in two reactors connected in series wherein the first reactor has a volume of about twice that of the second reactor.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 97 words
A process for the liquid phase oxidation of polyhaloolefins having from 2 to 7 carbon atoms to obtain oxidation products having the same number of carbon atoms as the starting material, said process comprising heating the polyhalo-olefin in admixture with oxygen at temperatures of from about 70°C to about 300°C and O 2 pressures of from about 100 to 1200 p.s.i.g. in the absence of an added catalyst, said process being carried out in two stages in two reactors connected in series wherein the first reactor has a volume of about twice that of the second reactor.
Claim 3
