Abstract

Abstract Transparent glass microspheres that are based on a ternary system of TiO 2 , heavy-metal oxide selected from BaO and CdO, and strong glass-forming oxide selected from SiO 2 , P 2 O 5 , and GeO 2 are disclosed. The microspheres have improved uniformity in optical properties and in handling properties, whereby retroreflective products of greater retroreflectivity can be made.
