Claim 3
Dependent Claim
53 words
A lamp unit according to claim 1 wherein said lamp housing is provided with a peripheral flange having a face generally parallel to the plane of the open end of said cavity and wherein said strip of elastomeric material interposed between said lens and said housing is in adhering contact with said flange.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
34 words
A lamp unit according to claim 1 wherein said strip of elastomeric material is a highly viscous, smooth, permanently tacky, putty-like mass at the time it is interposed between said lamp lens and housing.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
29 words
A lamp unit according to claim 1 where said strip of elastomeric material is selected from the group consisting of butyl rubber, divinylbenzene cross-linked butyl rubber, and mixtures thereof.
