A laminate sheathed cable having as the shielding layer a laminate sheath tape composed of a metallic foil, an outer jacket, and a resin layer therebetween, the improvement wherein said resin for the laminate sheath tape is an ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate-vinyl acetate terpolymer, said terpolymer comprising 0.5 to about 20 weight % glycidyl methacrylate, 0.5 to about 20 weight % vinyl acetate, and about 60 to about 99 weight % ethylene, said weight percentages being based on the total weight of glycidyl methacrylate, vinyl acetate and ethylene.
