Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 86 words
A resinous composition for producing a pattern paint consisting essentially of an aqueous dispersion of (1) a water reducible resinous vehicle in which the resin is selected from the group consisting of a polyester resin containing carboxyl groups and a polyacrylic acid resin, (2) an amine-aldehyde or amide-aldehyde resin cross-linking agent for the resinous vehicle, (3) a fluorocarbon surfactant containing a group of the formula CF 3 --CF 2 --CF 2 -- and (4) a polysiloxane resin having an average molecular weight of at least 2,000.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 86 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the resinous vehicle is dispersable in water with a base added to the composition, said base being selected from the group consisting of ammonia and secondary or tertiary lower alkyl amines.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 31 words
A composition as defined in claim 2 wherein the base is present in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH of the composition to within the range of 7.5 to 9.5.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 28 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the cross-linking agent is selected from the group consisting of a melamine-formaldehyde resin, a urea-formaldehyde resin and alkylated derivatives thereof.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 which also includes a catalyst to promote the cross-linking of the resinous vehicle by the cross-linking agent.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the cross-linking agent is water-soluble methylated melamineformaldehyde resin.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 33 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the cross-linking agent is present in an amount within the range of 10 to 70% by weight based upon the weight of the resinous vehicle.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 34 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the fluorocarbon surfactant is present in an amount within the range of 0.05 to 5.0% by weight based upon the total solids content of the composition.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 34 words
A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the polysiloxane resin is present in an amount within the range of 0.01 to 5.0% by weight based upon the total solids content of the composition.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 18 words
A pattern paint composition comprising the resinous composition as defined by claim 1 and at least one pigment.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 87 words
A pattern paint composition consisting essentially of an aqueous dispersion of (1) a water reducible resinous vehicle in which the resin is selected from the group consisting of a polyester resin containing carboxyl groups and a polyacrylic acid resin, (2) an amine-aldehyde or amide-aldehyde resin cross-linking agent for the resinous vehicle, (3) a fluorocarbon surfactant containing a group of the formula CF 3 --CF 2 --CF 2 --, (4) a polysiloxane resin having an average molecular weight of at least 2,000 and (5) at least one pigment.
