Abstract

Abstract A method of preparing sulfur vulcanizable unsaturated interpolymers of at least one terminally unsaturated monoolefin selected from the group consisting of 1-butene and α-olefins containing from five to 12 carbon atoms with at leeast one nonconjugated diolefin selected from the group of 4- and 5-methyl-1,4-hexadienes in which 5-methyl-1,4-hexadiene is at least 15 mole percent and in which the terminally unsaturated monoolefin comprises from about 98 to about 70 mole percent of the total.
