Abstract
Abstract The invention is novel esters of (alkynyloxy)-, (alkenyloxy)-, and (cyanoalkoxy) carbanilic acids and the thiono and dithio derivatives of the carbanilic acids, and their use for controlling broadleaf weeds and grasses.

A method for the control of undesirable plant species comprising applying to said undesirable plants or locus of plants or seeds a herbicidally effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##SPC8## wherein A is hydrogen, chlorine or --OCH 2 C.tbd.CH; B is hydrogen, --O--CH.sub.2 C.tbd.CH or --OCH.sub.2 CH=CH.sub.2 R is alkyl (C 1 --C 4 ) benzyl, or cyclohexyl; provided that A and B are both not hydrogen.
