Abstract Novel quinoxaline-1,4-dioxides of the formula WHEREIN R is hydrogen or methyl; Y is lower alkyl; and N IS 0, 1, OR 2; METHODS FOR THEIR PREPARATION; AND THEIR USE AS ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS AND AGENTS FOR PROMOTING GROWTH AND IMPROVING FEED EFFICIENCY OF ANIMALS. Additionally, those compounds wherein n is 0 or 1 serve as intermediates for preparation of compounds wherein n is 1 or 2.
