Abstract
Abstract Tricyclic enamine compounds of the formula: WHEREIN A is oxy, thio, lower alkylimino, or ethylidene; one of X1 and X2 is hydrogen and the other is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, lower alkanesulfonyl, lower alkylsulfamoyl, di(lower)alkylsulfamoyl, lower alkanoylamino, trifluoromethyl, nitro or amino; X3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or phenyl(lower)alkyl and Nz is a 5 to 7-membered cyclic amino group. These compounds are useful as psychotropic agents, particularly as tranquilizers.
