Abstract
Abstract A method for the separation of a mixture of plastics comprising a polyacrylate, e.g., polymethylmethacrylate, and polyvinyl chloride from each other by subjecting the mixture of plastics to a flotation method in the presence of at least one alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of lignin sulfonic acid as a conditioning agent thereby separating and recovering each of the plastics is disclosed.
