Abstract

Abstract A cementing process wherein a foaming agent is added to the cement slurry prior to injecting the latter into a well. This foaming agent cooperates with the gas which escapes from a gas-containing formation to form a foam barrier which prevents any subsequent migration of gas during the setting of the cement.
