Abstract

Abstract Telephone line testing equipment in which a series of alternating current tone pulses are transmitted from the central office along the line to a sensing means placed at a remote point in the circuit. The series of pulses are transmitted in a coded sequence. The sensing means receives the pulse sequence, decodes it, and connects the telephone line to suitable loopback testing circuits if the proper code is received.
