Abstract
Abstract The invention is a method of burning fuel in a combustion chamber in which fuel and air are admitted to the combustion chamber through concentric orifices and are burned in the presence of water in a high temperature combustion zone. This method of combustion reduces the formation of smoke and of oxides of nitrogen. A preferred method of providing water in the high temperature combustion zone is to add water to the fuel before the fuel is admitted to the combustion chamber. The invention further extends to apparatus for burning fuel in accordance with the preferred method.
