Abstract

Abstract A curing agent for epoxy resins is made by processing an aromatic polyamine with an active aldehyde compound under reaction conditions and proportions of ingredients which yield curing agents which are liquid at ambient temperatures. These liquid curing agents, after mixing with uncured epoxy resins, have a long working life at ambient temperatures, and when the mixtures are cured, have unusual resistance to high temperatures.
