Abstract
Abstract Allylacetate is produced by reacting propylene with acetic acid and oxygen or air, in vapor phase, in the presence of a catalytic amount of the combination of palladium metal, a lead metal and an alkaline or alkaline earth metal carboxylate. The palladium and lead can be produced in situ by reduction of compounds thereof with a reducing agent, e.g., hydrogen gas.
