Abstract

Abstract A flow control device having a pressure operated main diaphragm valve controlled by bleed line pressure includes a baffle extending from the diaphragm of the main valve to create turbulent flow adjacent a port of the bleed line upstream of the main diaphragm valve such that pressure at the bleed line port is maintained at a level to close the main diaphragm valve and thereby eliminate venturi or aspirator effects under high flow conditions.
