Abstract
Abstract The method for applying an abrasion resistant coating on the surface of an aluminum or aluminum alloy conductor. After cleaning the conductor surface to remove dirt, grease, and oxides and to make the surface uniformly active, a plurality of coatings of metals are applied including an inner coating of tin or zinc, intermediate coatings of bronze or copper, and nickel, and an outer coating of tin or silver.
