Abstract

Abstract An electric dynamo has a winding of insulated electric wire secured in a completed inner stator assembly which is inserted and enclosed by an outer stator. A winding support fixed at each inner stator end shields the winding that is external to the inner stator from a rotor. The insulated wire strands enter slots in the outer surface of the inner stator. At an end of the completed inner stator assembly, most of the winding externally of the inner stator passes in a straight or chord line across a winding support as it extends from one slot to another.
