Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 17 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pigments are red pigments produced by Monascus purpureus.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 44 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, in which the substance containing the pigments is added to a vegetable flour rich in proteins which is then moistened and worked mechanically under pressure at a temperature above 100*C, after which the pressure is suddenly reduced.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process as claimed in claim 3, wherein the vegetable flour is a solvent-extracted soya flour.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 32 words
A process as claimed in claim 3, wherein the substance containing pigments Is added to the flour in a quantity of from 2 to 6% of the weight of the moistened flour.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 31 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, in which proteins extracted from seeds are spun, the substance containing the pigments is added to the proteins and the proteins are then shaped.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
A process as claimed in claim 6, wherein the proteins are extracted from soya beans.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 44 words
A process as claimed in claim 6, wherein the spun proteins are impregnated with an extract obtained by concentrating or drying a broth obtained by culturing a mold of the genus Monascus in aqueous suspension, and extracting it with at least one organic solvent.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 32 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the substance containing the pigments is all or part of a broth obtained by culturing the mold of the genus Monascus in aqueous suspension.
