Abstract
Abstract A lint pot for an above-ground swimming pool has a flap valve on the inlet to the housing, the flap valve being closed by a flow of water from the pool into the lint pot. When the removable top to the lint pot is in place, a portion of the top engages a projecting stop on the flap valve to hold the valve in an open position. When the top is removed, water siphoned out of the pool flowing towards the pot causes the flap valve to close.
