Abstract

Abstract A flow velocity measuring device is disclosed which includes a probe capable of measuring flow velocity at a selected depth in a flowing liquid whose height may vary. Flow velocity is indicated by a read out device. A control circuit is responsive to the depth sensing device for controlling the probe depth within a desired range. The position of the probe is detected by a sensor and is indicated by any suitable read out device, such as a meter. A recorder may also be provided for continuously recording the probe position and the flow velocity.
