Abstract
Abstract A wear resistant tubular insert is provided as an integral part of cast decorative articles, such as belt buckles. The insert increases the wear characteristics of the decorative article. Deformable casting molds allow for rapid insertion of the inserts and reduce manufacturing time in the production of such articles. The preferred method of casting disclosed herein includes centrifugally casting fluid molding material around the tubular inserts.
