Abstract Metal surfaces are coated with an aqueous dispersion of a vehicle comprised of a combination of heat curable water dispersible thermosetting aminoplast resin and a water dispersible carboxyl containing polyester resin prepared from a mixture of polycarboxylic acids and an esterdiol.
