Abstract

Abstract Visually clear dentifrice comprising a water-insoluble aluminosilicate sodium salt complex in which silica is interbonded with alumina, which alumina is present in amount up to 3.3% by weight of the polishing agent in which the mole ratio of silica to alumina is at least about 45:1, said polishing agent having a refractive index of about 1.44-1.47 and a gel vehicle for said polishing agent having about the same refractive index as said polishing agent, said polishing agent being substantially invisible in said gel vehicle.
