Abstract
Abstract Tetraazaindene compounds having the formula IN WHICH R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkylthio group, R'' and R'''' individually represent a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or together form a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring, Y represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkylthio, aryl or amino group; and the salts thereof. This invention also describes the preparation of the abovementioned compounds and their use in photographic emulsions.
