Abstract
Abstract A class of antioxidants for polyolefins is described having the general formula: WHEREIN R is an aromatic oxamide, imide or imine radical. These antioxidants when incorporated in stabilizing amounts in polyolefins have proven to be as effective, and in some cases superior, to conventional (hindered phenolic) antioxidants from the standpoint of protection against thermal oxidative degradation.
