Abstract
Abstract A method of improving the oxidative stability of sulfur and oxygen and/or nitrogen polar material containing lubricating base charge stocks wherein the lubricating base charge stocks are contacted with a nickel-molybdenum on large pore alumina catalyst in the presence of a gas mixture of about 90% hydrogen and 10% hydrogen sulfide under hydrofinishing conditions.
